Washington Redskins Tickets – Signing a dangerous McNabb Play for Redskins
Landing a player of Donovan McNabb's caliber is always going to bring about a significant amount of fanfare from any team, and for good reason. The Redskins quickly get better in a crucial position and may very well be the most improved team in the league next year. But with McNabb entering the twilight of his career, it is also a very risky maneuver, one that can bring about immediate dividends as the cost for many of the future.
To get McNabb, the Redskins gave up their second-round pick for the draft this year and other conditions pick in 2011, which is either a third-round or 1 / 4-round pick depending on how well McNabb plays. Since the Redskins are one of the worst team in the league a year ago, the second-round pick is 37th overall selection in the draft. For the Eagles, the picks will help them as significant They try to bolster their ranks after the departure of Brian Westbrook and McNabb. For a team like the Redskins also have plenty of holes to fill following a 4-12 regular season in 2009, the move will make it significantly more difficult to build through the draft in the next few season.
More importantly, however, is that the McNabb will not guarantee that the Redskins are going to be a quick opponent. With a range that only won four games in a season ago, McNabb was maybe help them double their win total, which is still not bring them back in the playoffs. With arguably the best division in football overall, The Redskins are still likely to be the fourth best team, even if McNabb had another solid season behind center. As the Eagles build toward future by getting younger and cheaper in key positions, the Redskins are heading the other direction.
Given the state of division, it made more sense for a team that is a quarterback away from land disputes McNabb as opposed to the Redskins, who still looks to be a sub.500 team. True, McNabb had another good period in 2009, but he also did so with a collection of talented players to emerge as potential stars in the league. In Philly, wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be one of the most electric player in the league at tight end Brent Celek is just beginning to establish himself as a top tight end.
Running back LeSean McCoy also looks to be solid replacement for Westbrook and will have an even greater role in the offense in 2010. In washington, Clinton Portis is a shell of its former own and Santana Moss is not the big play threat that the Redskins hope he does. McNabb will have to do much without a lot of support, which, to be fair, This is something he has done for much of his career.
The transfer has a couple of intriguing angles, though, especially the plan for the future Jason Campbell. Although Campbell has lots of talent, he has struggled to make the next step as a starting quarterback. It did not help that the Redskins will failed to provide him with enough weapons to sin, but its development is much softer than Washington expected. The Redskins are almost certainly look to deal Campbell close to the draft, probably looking to replace some of the draft picks they lost McNabb getting. But even if the Redskins do manage to sign an extension McNabb, which is something they are working on as of April 5th, it's hard to imagine him playing the same level he did for a significantly more talented squad Eagles.
In the end, McNabb will certainly help sell <a href="http://www.stubhub.com/washington-redskins-tickets/"> Washington Redskins tickets </ a>, as they are immediately more competitive. In a league where you need to have a plan to become successful, the Redskins at least to have a bona fide starter in McNabb for the first time in quite a while, though they still lack the overall depth and talent to make a push towards a title. With it unclear how long McNabb was left as a top-tier quarterback, the Redskins need to make some more moves as soon to give him a chance at success. In a 33-year-old quarterback with a history of injury, the clock is ticking now for the Redskins.
