Car Accident that was not my fault … The higher rates for insurance?
PLEASE ONLY serious answers … PLEASE! Hello, well I was in a minor car accident the other day. I am leaving Opening day at Dodger Stadium and well I turned a residential street, I was about to be a drive that way when someone hit the side of my car. The other driver said he did not see my blinker and decided to go around me as I will have on system drive. Anyways there was very little harm done to my new car, it really 2 scratches. Anyways the other driver wanted to go through the insurance claim so I filled in and went to the adjuster and so it looks like its gonna come out like almost $ 900 (luckily it was quite that the other drivers fault so i dnt need to pay for that). Now here is where I? comes out. I am with my brother insurance, how it is affect him? Will it affect my record eventhough it wasn't my fault? And what I dropped her insurance and get my own it will affect still in him? Thanks for reading I really need help.
It depends on the insurance company. Typically, one claim of a period of 3 years will not affect you. But even this is not your fault, insurance companies consider all anyone involved in an accident at least 20% responsible for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
