Exciting Stunts To Raise School Spirit
Sometimes the spirit of a school can do their work. Any of the stunts below will do just that!
Have a contest to "Raising the School Spirit" by using two or three "Balloons", "thermometers" or "rubber plants." (Even a man under a sheet, or in a crate, carton, etc., or a little boy can come out of a box or barrel which is labeled "School Spirit"). Place one of these things on one side or the cheering section auditorium and one of the other and perhaps, If possible, one in the middle.
And the cheerleaders can take section by section. . . expansion of the balloon, thermometer, etc. higher and higher depending volume made by section, and thereby creating public competition. But this way the balloons only go about three-fourths of the way up. And the cheerleaders can show how solid teamwork and cooperation of all, in one gigantic cheer, smashes the balloon, thermometer, etc to bits.
Could It Be You?
Arrange a few rows of seats to represent the seat stadium in a game. After a pep club members imitate the way a typical crowd action in a game. The narrator can not comment "Could This Be You?"
And simulate the majority of people doing things like: there is a People standing all the time blocking the view of the back, a person eating pop corn or peanut continued, another walk back and forth through the hallway to get a drink, hot dog, etc, a pair of lovers interested only in themselves, a couple of girls chewing bubble gum as hard as possible lunch and sitting there doing nothing but eat. No end to mimicking you can show. The narrator can conclude by saying Let IT BE YOU. If you go the game fun for your team.
Little Girl Act
Put a "Little Girl Act." The cheerleaders could dress as "Little Girls" in the gingham dress and eating giant lollipops and led to a shout.
Yell Competition
Have a yelling competition by fixing Students so that the Seniors and Sophomores were yelling together and the Freshmen and Juniors cried together.
Nap
Have a "siesta" after lunch. Custom old Mexican can be labeled "Football nap." And every day for approximately 30 minutes immediately after lunch a special bell can ring and all the students wander through the halls, on campus, the gym, etc. but no talking football. Various team members can put all parts of the campus so that students can talk to them and enjoy them.
The Ironman
High in Jackson, Ohio, a Students dressed as a robot to represent the school mascot, "Ironman." The game was played was against Wellston "Goldenrockets," so a Rocket (can be made out of tin or aluminum foil) was created to represent their team. With a great deal of ceremony, the "Ironman" came on stage and crushed the "Rocket."
Poetry
High Piqua, Ohio, poems are made about members of the team. The poems, or short description worded, was read by a narrator and the students are required to predict them.
The $ 64,000 Question
The $ 64,000 Question TV program makes excellent background for a show. "Hal March," some cheerleaders and an "isolation booth," is can set up easier. The various contestants of course is always locked the winning $ 64,000 check if they guessed the winner of the game tomorrow.
Mock Basketball Game
Mock basketball game amuses the students. The girl who can represent the players and rogue up the game. Coaches and referees can wear the strange dress. One team can put the referee, the other perhaps stretching chicken wire basket. Accommodation will be two minutes and the cheerleaders could ginger up the excitement.
Of course there are many other stunts may be tried to achieve the same results. However, they will all be a good start!
