Basketball Shooting – How to shoot a Basketball

Basketball shooting is one of the basic fundamentals of the game and this is especially the way to score points. Including the dribbling, shooting is one of the first skills we often know. But not a large number of people know it right from the beginning. If you are a good shooter or a terrible one here is the right way to learn it.

First we need to talk about the most important aspects that have really while a jump shot or a free throw. When I was growing up I remembered a pneumonic device use: standing beef for Balance, elbow, eye, and Follow Through. This is how it all fit to play.

B-Balance yourself by keeping your feet shoulder width apart and your knees bent with your body facing towards the net.

E-elbow Your needs to be underneath the ball so that it creates a near or a full 90 degree angle.

E-focus your eyes and the edge so that you have a target to shoot at. Thinking measure the distance you need to shoot in order to give yourself aware how much power you put into it.

F-Follow through your shot (ie does not stop automatically) when you flip your wrist. It should create backspin which means more control and a greater chance of great if it hits the edge.

Remember to include these aspects of your basketball shot. Now it's time to learn how to shoot a free throw or a jump shot. They are almost the same shot except a little step, as you can see in a moment.

How to shoot

1. With the triple threat position (knees bent, feet shoulder body width apart and facing towards the net).

2. In a motion to bring your arm close to your forehead so that your strong hands under the ball (using Your index finger aligned with the center) and your other hand on the side. By now your elbow should be about a right angle.

3. You should start straightening out your knees so you're body is developing. Once you get on your tippy toes push floor and jump (so you're in the air). Avoid jumping when shooting a free throw. Just follow the remaining steps on your tippy toes.

4. Now you should let your weak hand (the one side) to leave the ball just before flicking your wrist (to prevent them from interfering). When you flick your wrist, you should make sure you have enough power and the ball has backspin on it. Remember to follow through.

5. During the game what is wrong most players will sit and watch their adventures, Instead of going to rebound it. So do not develop any bad habits and get your rebound even if it is going in.

As you can see the most professional players have the same basketball shooting form because it is the most effective way to shoot a ball, to keep practice this form even if that takes Some time to get used to.
